Echo Protocol Winds Down, Requires Borrowers to Repay

Echo Protocol announced it is winding down after nearly two years of operations. Withdrawals and repayments began on Oct. 19, 2026, and borrowers must repay outstanding loans by Nov. 19, 2026, at 23:59 UTC. Unpaid loans may lead to collateral liquidation; Echo said it will provide a detailed timeline for liquidations and fund distributions later.

Echo has stopped new Lending deposits and loans, related interest accrual, new Strategy deposits and new LSD staking assets. Users can still repay loans and withdraw assets, though Strategy users must wait until an exit is available. Echo said it will cease operations after Nov. 19, with swaps through the Aptos-to-B² Bridge the only service remaining.
