Morgan Stanley said on Nov. 3, 2026, that it had joined DTCC’s tokenization service for U.S. equities and U.S. Treasuries. The service creates tokenized representations of securities held in Depository Trust Company custody. Morgan Stanley said the service may improve liquidity, make collateral easier to move and allow more efficient use of capital; those are potential benefits, not reported results.
The bank had separately said it intended to support tokenized stocks on its alternative trading system in the first quarter of 2027, rather than under an earlier forecast of the second half of 2026.
