Binance Burns 1.35B LUNC; Total Burn Exceeds 60B

Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, recently burned 1.35 billion Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) tokens as part of its 22nd batch in the LUNC burn mechanism. This action, performed on May 1, brings Binance’s total LUNC burn to over 60 billion tokens, accounting for more than 52% of the total LUNC burned by the Terra Luna Classic community.

This significant milestone follows last month’s burn of 1.4 billion LUNC tokens. Binance’s consistent efforts have supported the Terra Classic community, helping the overall community burn to reach 116 billion tokens. Despite the burns, LUNC and USTC prices continue to trade near resistance levels.

The standout feature of Binance’s LUNC burn mechanism is its focus on burning trading fees, which has now totaled nearly 60.42 billion LUNC tokens. This mechanism benefits the Terra Luna Classic ecosystem by reducing the total supply, potentially increasing token value over time.

In summary, Binance’s strategic burns play a crucial role in the Terra Luna Classic ecosystem, underscoring its commitment to supporting the broader crypto community. This long-term approach aims to stabilize and potentially increase the value of LUNC tokens.
