Binance is working with the FBI to help recover funds stolen in a reported $6.3 billion exploit, a source familiar with the matter said. Binance confirmed it was working with law enforcement but did not name the agencies involved, and the FBI had not responded to a request for comment by publication.
Binance said industry partners had frozen $3 billion of the stolen funds and that it was working to recover them. It also said it had reserved more than $6.34 billion in company funds to cover losses, including $5 billion held in the tokens that were stolen.
