OKX, one of the largest centralized exchanges (CEX) by trading volume, launched its CEX and a web3 wallet in the Netherlands on June 3. The exchange, which rebranded from Okcoin Europe Ltd. to OKX on April 10, will support over 150 cryptocurrencies and 60 crypto-euro trading pairs.
In partnership with iDEAL, OKX allows Dutch users to easily deposit and withdraw funds, also offering free euro deposits and withdrawals via SEPA. The newly launched OKX Wallet is self-custodial, crafted based on customer feedback. OKX holds a crypto service provider registration with De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and a virtual financial asset service provider license in Malta.
Despite halting operations in Hong Kong, OKX boasts a 24-hour trading volume of $2.7 billion and manages $18.8 billion in assets, with Bitcoin comprising 46.2%. This strategic expansion into the Netherlands marks a significant push to strengthen OKX’s presence in Europe.
