Raydium DEX Exploited for $1.34 Million

Raydium DEX Exploited for $1.34 Million Due to AMM V3 Vulnerability

  • Raydium, a decentralized exchange on the Solana blockchain, reported a $1.34 million exploit linked to its retired AMM V3 program.
  • The attacker extracted approximately 150,000 RAY, 5,600 SOL, and nearly $900,000 in USDC from Raydium pools.
  • The vulnerability was due to inadequate validation of liquidity provider mints in the legacy AMM V3 program.
  • Funds were traced across two blockchains, initially funded via KuCoin and bridged from Solana to Ethereum.
  • 810 ETH was sent to Tornado Cash as part of laundering efforts.

Raydium’s outdated AMM V3 program allowed an attacker to bypass checks due to improper verification of LP mint addresses, leading to significant asset removal from its pools.
