Advisor Switches ProShares BITO to BlackRock ETF

Burkett Financial Services has shifted its investment strategy by liquidating its holdings in ProShares’ BITO and opting for BlackRock’s IBIT ETF. This change, reported in a 13F filing on July 10, 2024, reflects growing institutional confidence in BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF.

This move is part of a larger trend of institutional investors entering the Spot Bitcoin ETF market. In the second quarter of 2024, Fiduciary Alliance LLC became one of the top purchasers of BlackRock’s IBIT, acquiring 188,668 units worth $6.64 million.

Bitcoin ETFs have experienced net inflows for four consecutive days, totaling $147 million on July 10, 2024. Fidelity’s Bitcoin ETF led with $57.8 million in inflows, while BlackRock’s IBIT saw a decrease from $121 million to $22.2 million. Grayscale Bitcoin Trust continued to see outflows but at a reduced rate.

This trend indicates a rising investor confidence in Bitcoin ETFs despite market volatility. The strategic shift underscores the increasing importance of reputable funds like BlackRock’s IBIT in the institutional investment landscape.
