Ethereum ETF Amendment Boosts Institutional Investment

Crypto enthusiasts were abuzz as issuers amended their Ethereum ETFs S-1 filings. This year, ETF applications in the U.S. have driven market momentum.

The approval of Bitcoin ETFs in January, and Bitcoin’s surge past $73,000, spurred interest in Ethereum ETFs. On July 8, issuers filed amendments, anticipating trading as ETH prices slightly recovered and institutional inflows surged.

Last week, Ethereum saw $10.2 million in inflows, reducing yearly exits to $15 million. Total assets under management for Ethereum rose to $12.4 billion. Market commentators expect more inflows as traders prepare for final approval.

SEC chair Gary Gensler hinted at a possible summer approval. Issuers like VanEck and Bitwise have amended their applications, with Bitwise offering a fee waiver. Ethereum currently trades at $3,079.

These amendments are expected to shape institutional funds significantly, potentially driving more inflows and stabilizing the market long-term.
