Ethereum ETF Approval Delayed by Invesco Galaxy

Invesco Galaxy missed the July 8 deadline to file its amended S-1 form for a Spot Ethereum ETF, unlike other firms such as VanEck and BlackRock, who met the SEC’s requirements on time. This delay raises questions about the potential postponement of their ETF approval.

Last month’s SEC request for amendments led firms to resubmit their documents by the deadline. Nate Geraci, President of ETF Store, noted the absence of Invesco Galaxy’s filing and expressed cautious optimism about the launch next week.

Grayscale’s announcement of a July 18 creation date for its Mini Ethereum Trust adds to the optimism in the market. VanEck and Bitwise have already made significant progress, with competitive fees and proactive market strategies.

Invesco Galaxy’s delay could lead to regulatory setbacks, impacting their competitive standing. Timely compliance is crucial in the fast-evolving crypto investment landscape. The broader implications include potential delays and adjustments in the fee structures of anticipated ETFs.
