Hong Kong-based Animoca Brands, a blockchain investment firm, plans to go public in Hong Kong or the Middle East by 2025. The company, valued at nearly $6 billion in 2022, has already initiated talks with investment banks but hasn’t chosen an adviser yet.
This wouldn’t be its first public listing; it was previously listed on the Australian Securities Exchange but was delisted in 2020 due to compliance issues. Animoca Brands holds over 400 crypto assets, including Axie Infinity and OpenSea, and has raised over $830 million from investors like Temasek Holdings and Soros Fund Management.
The firm’s extensive portfolio and significant funding set it apart in the blockchain space. Going public again could solidify its standing and attract more crypto investors, emphasizing its strategic growth and long-term vision.
