Ethereum Dips After ETF Approval News

Ethereum’s price remained stable at $3,500 on Tuesday as the SEC approved Ethereum ETFs from major companies like BlackRock and Invesco. This approval is a significant milestone, as the SEC has historically viewed Ether as a security.

The approved ETFs, including Grayscale’s ETH and Franklin Templeton’s EZET, offer low expense ratios, with some starting at 0%. Despite the approval, Ethereum’s price may dip due to the ‘buy the rumor, sell the news’ phenomenon, similar to what happened with Ripple in 2023.

Ethereum’s bullish flag chart pattern indicates potential for more upside if it surpasses $3,570. The network’s robust fundamentals, including its dominance in DeFi and NFTs, bolster its long-term value. Ethereum has outperformed Bitcoin, rising 1,600% in five years compared to Bitcoin’s 600%.

With substantial utility and diminishing exchange balances, Ethereum’s strategic importance continues to grow, attracting institutional investors.
