On July 26, 2024, Ethereum spot ETFs in the U.S. saw a capital outflow of $162.67 million, marking the third consecutive day of negative trends. The Grayscale Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHE) was hit hardest, losing $356.26 million in a single day.
Despite inflows into five other products, the overall sector couldn’t offset these losses. Trading volume in the sector decreased to $933.86 million. ETHE remains the leading fund with $7.11 billion in assets under management but has lost over $1.5 billion since inception.
Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas suggests that while the intensity of withdrawals will diminish quickly, tough days lie ahead. Ethereum (ETH) is currently trading around $3370, up from just above $3100 last week.
This activity reflects broader market sentiments and the challenges institutional products face in maintaining capital stability. The long-term potential of Ethereum remains strong, and market watchers are closely observing the sector’s recovery efforts.
