Funding: NPC Labs Secures $21M in Two Rounds

NPC Labs, a startup focused on gaming infrastructure in the Web3 sector, has raised $21 million through pre-seed and seed funding rounds led by Pantera Capital. Founded by three ex-Coinbase employees, the company aims to revolutionize blockchain gaming with its B3.fun ecosystem.

The funding includes $3 million from a pre-seed round and $18 million from a seed round, with investors like Makers Fund and Hashed. NPC Labs, founded by ex-Coinbase employees, is developing B3.fun on the Base network, promising high-speed, low-cost transactions without cross-chain bridges. Currently in the testnet phase, it supports Ethereum, Base, and EVM-compatible games.

The platform’s standout feature is its ability to handle numerous transactions per second with minimal fees. CEO Daryl Xu plans to expand the team to ten members to drive further innovation. This funding and strategic expansion highlight NPC Labs’ potential to significantly impact the Web3 gaming landscape.
