Anthropic announced on October 26, 2026, that it had filed for an initial public offering and plans to list Class A shares on Nasdaq under “ANT.” The registration statement has not yet become effective, and the number of shares and price range have not been set. Anthropic and existing shareholders both plan to sell shares.
Anthropic reported $16.29 billion in revenue for the six months ended June 30, 2026, up from $1.16 billion a year earlier. Its $80.7 billion net loss included a $72.4 billion charge for changes in the fair value of convertible notes and other instruments; its operating loss was $693 million.
Under the proposed structure, a trust will elect a majority of the board, while an entity owned by Anthropic’s seven co-founders will hold 50.1% of shareholder voting power on most matters. The filing warns that this may effectively prevent Class A shareholders from influencing important decisions.
