Fireblocks Denies Visa Deal Rumors After Report

Axios reported on October 22, 2026, that Visa was in late-stage talks to buy digital asset custody firm Fireblocks for $2.5 billion. Fireblocks denied the report, saying a possible acquisition by Visa was “not true at present time.” Visa declined to comment.

The reported price would be 68.75% below Fireblocks’ $8 billion valuation when it raised $550 million in January 2022. No acquisition was confirmed.
