OKXICE disclosed 12 more companies’ objections to its proposed tokenized stocks plan in a public notice dated Oct. 30. Nvidia, Costco, Nike, Reddit and CrowdStrike were among the new objectors, bringing the total to 50 of the 63 companies originally targeted. The notice does not explain their individual reasons, and the objections do not necessarily mean they oppose blockchain-based securities in general.
OKXICE intends to offer blockchain-based versions of U.S. shares for continuous trading, including outside standard exchange hours. The framework allows issuers to reject third-party tokenization of their shares.
