Opposition Grows to OKXICE Tokenized Stock Plan

Intel, Oracle, IBM and IonQ formally objected to having their shares tokenized under a proposal from OKXICE, a venture between OKX and Intercontinental Exchange. A public notice dated October 26, 2026, lists 26 objecting companies, up from 22 the previous week. The notice does not give the companies’ individual reasons.

OKXICE proposes to offer stock-backed tokens for trading around the clock; the platform is not described as operating yet. The SEC exemption cited for the plan lets companies block unaffiliated third parties from tokenizing their shares through a formal objection. The objections do not necessarily mean the companies oppose stock tokenization more broadly.
