WORPT launched a digital wallet in Thailand under the Securities and Exchange Commission’s tourist Digipay regulatory sandbox, according to a media statement. Foreign visitors can convert supported digital assets—currently limited to USDT and USDC—into Thai baht to pay merchants through the QR Promptpay network. WORPT says the system follows the sandbox’s identity-check, transaction-monitoring and anti-money-laundering rules.
WORPT plans to add physical and virtual Visa prepaid cards, but they have not yet been rolled out. Its executives also plan a launch event and panel discussion in November 2026.
