MERGE Madrid says banks, investment platforms and payment companies will present digital-money projects at its October 27–29 conference; the source does not give a year for the event. Ten banks will discuss their role in Qivalis, an alliance promoting a euro stablecoin. Its commercial launch is planned for the second half of 2026, subject to authorization.
Santander will discuss a separate digital-money initiative it is exploring with other banks, while Trade Republic will address access to digital assets. Western Union will present USDPT, a dollar stablecoin issued by Anchorage Digital Bank, and its integration into the company’s Digital Asset Network.
