World co-founder Alex Blania unveiled an identity-verification suite for banking and finance aimed at deepfake fraud and AI impersonation. World also announced that World ID for Zoom is generally available; the broader suite is being tested with financial-sector partners.
The suite includes a digital credential app, a tool for delegating credentials to AI agents, and a Zoom integration that compares an Orb-verified image, a device selfie and live video before showing a verification badge. Organizations can request Orbs for their offices. Deloitte estimates that U.S. AI-enabled fraud losses could rise from $12.3 billion in 2023 to $40 billion by 2027. World says more than 18 million people hold its Proof of Human credential and plans to demonstrate the technology at upcoming events.
