ASI recently announced key updates on the merger of Fetch.ai (FET), SingularityNET (AGIX), and Ocean Protocol (OCEAN) tokens, set to start on July 1. This marks the beginning of phase 1, which includes changing project names and logos to ASI and converting AGIX and OCEAN tokens to FET.
The merger process will see AGIX and OCEAN delisted from exchanges, with conversion rates set at 1 AGIX to 0.433350 FET and 1 OCEAN to 0.433226 FET. The migration platform is available on the SingularityDAO dApp.
Phase 2 will deploy the ASI token across chains, upgrade FET to the ASI network, and introduce new migration contracts and cross-chain bridges. This merger aims to streamline the functioning and future endeavors of the AI tokens.
In response to the news, FET saw a 26.05% increase to $1.64, AGIX rose by 24.77% to $0.6723, and OCEAN surged by 23.38% to $0.6736. Binance has also announced its support for the AI token merger.
The strategic importance of this merger lies in its potential to enhance cross-chain transfers and unify token functionality, setting a precedent for future AI token collaborations.
