Institutional investors are ramping up their demand for crypto firms, driven by the anticipation of upcoming IPOs. This surge has been highlighted by the significant increase in demand for shares in companies like Ripple, Kraken, and Chainalysis.
Crypto buy-side demand has jumped 126% this year compared to the first half of 2023 and 28% from the latter half of last year. This upward trend is bolstered by the bull market and the surging price of Bitcoin, which hit a new all-time high of $73k. Bitcoin ETFs and trading have also attracted traditional investors, expanding market interest.
Equities for Kraken rose 77%, while Chainalysis and Ripple saw increases of 17% and 13% respectively. The excitement around potential IPOs, especially Kraken’s, is fueling investor enthusiasm and market optimism.
This trend underscores the growing institutional confidence in the crypto market, suggesting significant long-term potential and regulatory evolution in the sector.
