Crypto PAC Endorses 18 Candidates for November

The Stand With Crypto PAC has endorsed 18 more candidates for the November elections, including 15 incumbents. This endorsement list is nearly evenly split between Democrats and Republicans.

Notable figures include Senators Kirsten Gillibrand of New York and Rick Scott of Florida, and Representatives Dan Goldman of New York and Young Kim of California. The PAC supports these candidates due to their commitment to expanding cryptocurrency and blockchain technology in the U.S.

Paul Grewal, Chief Legal Officer of Coinbase, emphasized the potential influence of crypto voters in key states, noting that over 52 million Americans own digital assets and 87% want to replace the current financial system. The recent approval of the FIT21 Act by the House of Representatives shows growing bipartisan support for crypto legislation.

However, the bill faces challenges in the Democrat-controlled Senate. To address this, Congressman Ro Khanna will host a roundtable with the Biden Administration, Congress, and the crypto industry to strategize on fostering blockchain innovation. The involvement of former President Donald Trump, who has accepted Bitcoin payments for campaign contributions, further highlights the growing political significance of cryptocurrency.

This coordination signifies a strategic push to ensure the U.S. remains a leader in financial innovation.
