Two altcoins, Galxe (GAL) and PolyMesh (POLYX), surged over 8% today. This increase follows their listings on major South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges, UPbit and Bithumb, respectively.
UPbit’s introduction of Galxe trading pairs with the Korean won led to a significant rise in GAL’s trading volume by 737%, reaching $198 million. Galxe’s infrastructure platform allows users to generate digital credentials for Web 3.0 applications, making it valuable for developers.
Meanwhile, Bithumb’s listing of PolyMesh resulted in a 500% increase in POLYX’s trading volume, hitting $81.2 million. PolyMesh is designed for regulated assets, offering institutional-grade capabilities for governance, identity verification, and compliance.
The strategic importance of these listings lies in enhancing the visibility and utility of both tokens within the growing cryptocurrency ecosystem.
