Digital Chamber Urges Kamala Harris’ Crypto Support

The Digital Chamber has called on U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris to adopt a pro-crypto stance. This appeal follows President Joe Biden’s decision not to endorse Harris for the Democratic nomination.

In a letter to Harris, the Chamber highlighted the potential of blockchain and digital assets to drive economic growth, innovation, and financial inclusion. They emphasized that over 50 million Americans, particularly Black, Latino, and immigrant communities, are adopting digital assets at higher rates than traditional financial products.

The Chamber outlined three key points: incorporating pro-digital asset language in the Democratic platform, selecting a VP candidate with a strong policy track record, and engaging with industry leaders.

Industry executives have criticized the Biden administration for its anti-crypto stance, leading some to support Donald Trump. This letter is part of broader efforts to achieve favorable regulations for the crypto market.

Advocates have formed Super PACs to support pro-crypto candidates and are pushing for legislative changes like the FIT 21 bill and overturning SAB 121.

Engaging with the crypto industry could significantly boost transparency and reduce fraud, making it a strategic move for long-term economic benefits.
