Morgan Stanley has established a Digital Asset Lab to test stablecoins, tokenization and decentralized finance applications, Bloomberg reported on September 29, 2026. The lab is part of the bank’s existing innovation network and lets employees explore the technologies without putting its core systems at risk. A Morgan Stanley executive said the firm will also explore tokenized deposits, central bank digital currencies, money-market funds and DeFi vaults that could automate investment strategies.
