Russia’s Foreign Ministry announced on October 16 that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was scheduled to visit Iran on October 19 for talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The visit had not yet taken place. Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said they would discuss international and regional issues, including the US-Iran war and Russia’s steps to ease tensions.
