Shuttle Bridge Reopens, 150M LUNA Burn Authorized

The Terraform Labs (TFL) Chapter 11 bankruptcy case has reached a pivotal moment. On July 19, a new court order authorized the reopening of the Shuttle Bridge and the burning of 150 million LUNA tokens, signaling a significant move for the Terra Classic ecosystem.

This order allows TFL to reopen the Shuttle Bridge, facilitating the redemption of wrapped assets on Terra Classic. It also enables the undelegation and subsequent burning of 150 million LUNA, enhancing the ecosystem’s value and security. The aim is to transfer all assets within the Shuttle Bridge wallets to more secure wallets and provide a seamless interface for users to redeem wrapped assets within 30 days post the Chapter 11 plan’s effectiveness.

Additionally, TFL will start undelegating 125 million LUNA staked with 49 validators, with an extra 25 million LUNA to be burned from the liquidity provision, totaling 150 million LUNA.

This strategic move, following a settlement with the SEC, underscores the ongoing efforts to stabilize and enhance the Terra Classic ecosystem. The price of LUNA saw a slight increase, trading at $0.4378, up 0.29%.

In the long run, these actions are expected to fortify the ecosystem’s foundation and foster community trust, marking a crucial step in Terra’s recovery and future growth.
