Brevan Howard Asset Management’s crypto fund, BH Digital, has surged by 20% in the first half of 2024, achieving $2.3 billion in assets under management. This gain comes as institutional investors increasingly turn to crypto amid rising prices.
Managed by British billionaire Alan Howard, BH Digital has outperformed other units under Howard’s control, including Brevan Howard’s flagship Master fund, which is down 1.5% year-to-date. Since its inception in late 2021, BH Digital has posted a more than 50% gain since it began trading in March 2022.
What sets BH Digital apart is its broad range of opportunities, including liquid cryptocurrencies and venture capital within the crypto sector. Additionally, Brevan Howard is exploring asset tokenization, notably launching the web3 protocol Libre for regulatory-compliant issuance and management of alternative investments.
