Crypto Collaboration: China Insurance Giant Joins Swiss Bank

China Pacific Insurance Group (CPIC), the second-largest property insurer in China, has partnered with Swiss crypto bank AMINA Group to offer investment advisory and banking services in the Asia Pacific region. Announced on Wednesday, this collaboration allows CPICIMHK, CPIC’s Hong Kong-based arm, to enhance its crypto sector expertise.

The partnership will enable CPICIMHK to provide integrated solutions for the Pacific Waterdrip Digital Asset Funds, focusing on early-stage blockchain startups and proof-of-stake tokens. CPICIMHK CEO Chenggang Zhou highlighted that their role will include advising on crypto investments, while AMINA will manage crypto trading and custodial services.

This move marks a significant step in CPICIMHK’s expansion into the crypto market, following its Q2 2023 entry by launching crypto funds with Waterdrip Capital. The partnership underscores CPICIMHK’s commitment to innovation and diversification in the financial sector.
