GSR Markets, a leading crypto market maker, has restructured its management to better serve clients globally. The London-based firm named Jakob Palmstierna as president, with Rich Rosenblum and Xin Song now sharing the CEO role.
The restructuring aims for “24-hour coverage” amid a crypto rally, spurred by the recent approval of Bitcoin ETFs and anticipated similar funds for Ethereum. Rosenblum noted that GSR tripled its revenue in the first half of the year compared to last year.
Founded in 2013, GSR has never raised outside capital. In early 2024, it appointed ex-JPMorgan executive Andreas Koukorinis as head of trading to appeal to conservative clients trading major cryptocurrencies.
This strategic move positions GSR to capitalize on the growing interest in digital assets and maintain its leadership in the evolving crypto market.
