LI FI, a cross-chain transaction aggregator, has faced a significant security breach, with hackers withdrawing over $9.7 million, mainly in stablecoins. Cybers Alerts flagged suspicious transactions and advised users to cancel potentially fraudulent ones linked to the Ethereum address 0x1231deb6f5749ef6ce6943a275a1d3e7486f4eae.
The LI FI team has recommended users avoid using their applications temporarily and identified four additional addresses for immediate revocation of approvals. The affected addresses have “Infinite Approvals,” posing a risk to users if not corrected using tools like revoke.cash.
This breach is one of several recent security incidents in the DeFi sector, including a $19.3 million hack on UwU Lend and another affecting over 105 Web3 platforms. The LI FI breach has prompted swift action from security companies and the crypto community to secure user funds.
Addressing these security vulnerabilities is crucial for the long-term trust and stability of decentralized finance platforms.
