Paris Match Celebrates 75th Year with NFTs

Paris Match, a French magazine, is auctioning 75 iconic archival photos as Ethereum (ETH) non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to celebrate its 75th anniversary. The auction, which began on June 17, features historic images of entertainment icons and significant events.

This collection includes snapshots of The Rolling Stones, Jack Nicholson, and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Each NFT purchase also comes with a signed physical print, merging traditional art collecting with digital ownership. Bidding starts at 0.3 ETH, or about $1,062.

Paris Match’s second NFT venture, following a successful sale in January 2023, is conducted with Focus Bloc and SuperRare. The global NFT market recently surged by 45% in sales, with Ethereum leading the way.

This initiative underscores Paris Match’s commitment to preserving its cultural legacy while embracing digital advancements. By integrating NFTs, Paris Match leverages Ethereum’s dominant position in the NFT market, enhancing its digital footprint and future-proofing its iconic brand.
