Singapore-based blockchain settlement startup Partior has raised $60 million in a Series B funding round led by Peak XV Partners. This investment aims to expand Partior’s cross-border payment offerings and address liquidity fragmentation.
Founded in 2021 as part of Project Ubin, Partior was incubated by the Singapore government with support from Temasek, DBS, and JPMorgan. The startup plans to introduce new solutions like intraday forex swaps and cross-currency repos.
Despite a decline in confidence among institutional investors in blockchain, Partior’s technology recently achieved a milestone with Standard Chartered completing Euro-denominated cross-border transactions via its network.
Partior’s efforts could significantly streamline international payments, offering faster and more efficient settlements. The long-term importance lies in its potential to revolutionize global financial transactions.
