Secure Breached Wallets: Move Funds Now

CoinStats, a cryptocurrency portfolio management platform, reported a security breach on June 22, 2024, affecting wallets created within its app. Users with exported private keys are urged to move their funds immediately.

The breach impacted 1,590 wallets, representing 1.3% of all CoinStats wallets. Externally connected wallets and centralized exchanges (CEXs) remain unaffected. The app has been temporarily shut down to contain the incident and investigate further.

Fraudulent notifications were sent to users, misleading them to access a drainer website via a fake CoinStats AirScout wallet. CoinStats provided a Google document listing affected wallets and is actively investigating the incident.

CoinStats is grateful for users’ patience and is committed to resolving the issue. This breach highlights ongoing security challenges in the cryptocurrency industry.

The incident underscores the critical importance of robust security measures to protect user assets in the evolving crypto landscape.
