Sonic Reaches 100K Wallets, 17M Transactions

Sonic, Solana’s first gaming L2 infrastructure platform, hit over 100,000 unique wallets and processed 17 million transactions just days after launching its testnet.

The Sonic Testnet Odyssey, which went live recently, showcased significant demand with 45,000 wallets and 3.2 million transactions within the first 36 hours.

Sonic, the pioneering SVM Layer-2 gaming platform on Solana, aims to boost the Solana gaming ecosystem with a recent $12 million Series A funding round led by BITKRAFT Ventures. This brings their total fundraising to $16 million. The funds will support grants for projects and onboard new games and developers.

Sonic’s SVM-compatible protocol offers customizable gaming primitives and a sandbox environment, leveraging Solana’s fast network for an excellent on-chain gaming experience. Sonic native games like Jogojogo, Rage Effect, Fomoney, and Lowlife Forms have seen a high volume of user interactions.

Sonic aims to elevate the Solana gaming ecosystem to rival other segments like DeFi, NFTs, and SocialFi. Upcoming events like the Solana Kick Off: Shenzhen and Kyoto Web3 Gaming Summer event are expected to drive further engagement.

The rapid growth and user adoption highlight Sonic’s potential to become a key player in the blockchain gaming space.
