Telegram Unveils Mini App Store and Web3 Browser

Telegram has introduced an in-app browser for its 950 million users, enabling navigation of decentralized websites on the Open Network (TON). This feature complements the newly launched mini-app store.

The browser, announced by CEO Pavel Durov, includes all traditional web browser features and allows seamless switching between browsing and messaging. This innovation brings blockchain-based web access to a vast audience.

The mini-app store, now accessible via the app’s search section, centralizes 500 million monthly mini-app users. New payment features allow “Stars” to be sent to friends and swapped for Toncoin.

Popular mini-apps like Hamster Kombat and Catizen have seen massive user growth and investment, highlighting the ecosystem’s success.
