Trump’s Radical Strategy to Erase $35T Debt

Former President Donald Trump proposed using Bitcoin to eliminate the United States’ $35 trillion national debt. He suggested giving Bitcoin to China as payment, sparking significant debate in the crypto community.

The U.S. government holds 210,392 Bitcoin, valued at $13.3 billion. Bitcoin’s current price is around $63,000. Financial predictions suggest that Bitcoin’s value could rise, with targets ranging from $180,000 by 2024 to $1 billion by 2038.

At $1 million per Bitcoin, the U.S. would need only 35 million Bitcoin to clear its debt. However, Bitcoin’s volatility and regulatory challenges make this plan speculative.

While unconventional, Trump’s idea highlights the potential long-term strategic value of Bitcoin as a financial asset. It underscores the evolving role of cryptocurrencies in global economics.
