Web3 Smartphone Launched by Up Network, Movement Labs

Up Network and Movement Labs have partnered to launch the Up Mobile, a Web3-dedicated smartphone. Unveiled recently, this device aims to revolutionize the consumer Web3 experience with enhanced privacy, scalability, and user-friendliness.

The Up Mobile features biometric sensors and zero-knowledge proofs for blockchain identity verification. Its specialized OS supports MoveVM and EVM, catering to decentralized applications like DePIN, DeFi, GameFi, and SocialFi. Integrated local large language models help users earn rewards through Proof of Attention activities.

With over 10,000 pre-orders, the goal is to distribute 100,000 units by year-end. The partnership includes 50 onboarded partners, providing user rewards for engagement. Rushi Manche, co-founder of Movement Labs, noted the device’s quality rivals mainstream brands.

The Movement network offers high throughput and localized fee markets, aiming to efficiently onboard the next billion users. This initiative marks a significant step in making Web3 more accessible and mainstream.
