Developers Recover $500K in NFTs After Flooring Protocol Exploit
- Yuga Labs-affiliated developers rescued 68 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) valued at over $500,000.
- The recovered NFTs included assets from CryptoPunks and Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).
- As of now, CryptoPunks had a floor price of approximately 32.7 ETH ($54,612), while BAYC was around 9.16 ETH.
- Flooring Protocol was already winding down its NFT services prior to the exploit, advising users to redeem their NFTs by October 15,2025.
- The overall NFT market capitalization has decreased from around $2 billion in early May to about $1.4 billion recently.
The incident highlights vulnerabilities within the NFT space, particularly for platforms like Flooring Protocol that were already facing operational challenges and liquidity issues before the exploit occurred.
Despite a decline in market activity, leading collections like CryptoPunks and BAYC continue to maintain significant floor prices and market capitalizations of approximately $560 million and $150 million respectively.
