Nine companies formally objected to having their shares offered on a proposed tokenized stock platform backed by OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, according to a notice from the two firms. The notice did not say why they objected. The platform is proposed, and the objections do not establish that the companies oppose tokenized shares on other venues.
Under a Securities and Exchange Commission exemption announced on Sept. 17, tokenized venues must give issuers written notice and a chance to object before listing third-party tokenized stocks. OKX had not responded to a request for comment by the time of publication.
