Sophon said it will begin shutting down key infrastructure and websites for its layer-2 blockchain on Nov. 25. It set that date as the deadline for users to withdraw assets, warning that anything left on Sophon Chain risks becoming permanently inaccessible. Users were also asked to claim outstanding staking or Guardian rewards.
The planned shutdown follows Sophon’s June announcement that it would leave its standalone blockchain and move operations to Base. Its developers said maintaining the chain no longer justified the cost.
