Six more companies reportedly objected to having their US stocks tokenized on OKXICE, a proposed platform from cryptocurrency exchange OKX and the New York Stock Exchange’s parent company, ICE. Reuters reported that 22 companies had objected in total. The recent objections reportedly included Wells Fargo, Arm Holdings and Intuit.
The venture proposed tokenized listings for 62 companies in an SEC filing. Of the 22 companies reported to have objected, 16 were listed on Nasdaq and six on the NYSE. OKXICE co-chair Andrew Cuomo said the venture expected more objections; Wells Fargo and Arm declined to comment, and Intuit did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
