AI Orbital Anomalies Detection for Japan

Japan’s Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and JR West have partnered with SKY Perfect JSAT to use AI for predicting satellite failures. Starting in October 2022, this collaboration aims to revolutionize satellite maintenance through advanced AI techniques.

This partnership combines JAXA’s satellite operation expertise with JR West’s AI development skills to create models that predict and prevent satellite malfunctions. SKY Perfect JSAT, managing over 30 geostationary satellites, plays a pivotal role in enhancing these AI models.
