Arbitrum (ARB) blockchain platform launched a $215 million Gaming Catalyst Program to boost the Web3 gaming industry. The program will distribute 225 million ARB tokens to game developers over three years.
Arbitrum aims to address high development costs, scalability, and security challenges in the gaming industry, projected to reach $190 billion by 2025. The initiative, supported by the Arbitrum DAO, will attract top developers and drive innovation.
Substantial grants of up to 500,000 ARB (around $483,000) are available for new developers, while established studios can apply for larger investments. The remaining funds will support infrastructure and operational expenses.
This initiative is part of Arbitrum’s broader strategy to foster the decentralized app ecosystem, including funding a crypto-related film and launching the Atlas upgrade to reduce fees and improve transaction speeds.
The program’s success could significantly enhance Web3 gaming, making Arbitrum a leading platform in the blockchain gaming space.
