Ahmad Shadid, founder of io.net, has resigned as CEO, with COO Tory Green taking over immediately. Shadid announced a donation of one million IO tokens to support io.net’s GPU Internet Foundation.
Shadid reflected on io.net’s rapid growth, noting it as one of the fastest-growing decentralized AI companies globally. He expressed gratitude to the community and team, stating that his resignation was in the best interest of the project’s future success.
Green expressed honor in his new role and outlined plans to continue io.net’s mission. He highlighted the company’s support for 20,000 cluster-ready GPUs, serving companies like WonderAI, Krea, and Leonardo.
The IO token launch on June 11 is expected to accelerate growth by attracting new suppliers and customers. Green emphasized io.net’s commitment to an open and accessible decentralized AI compute network.
