Privado ID Targets $101B Digital Identity Market

Privado ID, formerly known as Polygon ID, has spun off from Polygon Labs to target the $101 billion digital identity market. The company aims to broaden its reach by developing solutions compatible with any Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chain.

Privado ID uses decentralization and private interaction to enhance trust and reduce costs and risks. This privacy-centric framework empowers users to control their data while benefiting from app interactions, ensuring proof-of-humanity and compliance. Additionally, it has teamed up with major finance firms on proof-of-concept projects to create a compliant identity framework for DeFi activities.

Notably, the platform has integrated with the Verax attestation registry on Consensys’ Linea zkEVM Chain to solve identity issues. Co-founder Antoni Martin believes their technology will revolutionize interactions by lowering trust costs and mitigating identity-related risks.

The move highlights the strategic importance of advancing privacy, user control, and interoperability in the digital identity space.
