Engage Raise has launched the Support Crypto platform on the Base network, enabling U.S. politicians to accept cryptocurrency donations. Thirteen politicians, including Tom Emmer and Ritchie Torres, have joined this initiative.
The platform supports 240 different cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, and offers lower transaction fees compared to traditional credit cards. Backed by Coinbase Commerce, Support Crypto gains credibility and support from the crypto industry.
Former President Donald Trump and presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. have already embraced crypto donations, marking a significant shift in political fundraising. Trump’s campaign has reportedly collected around $3 million in various cryptocurrencies.
