Cryptocurrency Giants Outpace Magnificent Seven’s Growth

Bitcoin and Ethereum have outpaced the “Magnificent Seven” tech giants in market capitalization growth, as per a CoinGecko report. This group includes major companies like Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia.

From 2019 to 2024, Bitcoin and Ethereum’s market caps rose by 1102% and 2218%, respectively. Ethereum’s growth rate exceeded Bitcoin’s by 1.7 times. This surpasses the top tech companies, whose market caps increased between 245% and 2783%.

The combined market cap of the “Magnificent Seven” surged from $4.35 trillion to $15.77 trillion. In contrast, Ethereum grew from $18.16 billion to $421 billion, while Bitcoin rose from $104 billion to $1.26 trillion.

Investors saw an average annual return of 88% from the tech giants compared to the even higher returns from Bitcoin and Ethereum. This demonstrates the shifting dynamics in market growth and investment potential.

The rising prominence of cryptocurrencies highlights their growing role in the global financial ecosystem, influencing future investment strategies and market trends.
