Genesis, a bankrupt crypto lender, has completed its restructuring and started distributing $4 billion in assets to creditors. Creditors will receive 64% of their funds on average, depending on the asset type.
Bitcoin holders get 51.28%, Ethereum holders 65.87%, altcoin holders 87.65%, stablecoin and USD holders 100%, and Solana holders 29.58%. This distribution process is designed to be fair and transparent for all involved.
Genesis has also created a $70 million litigation fund for future legal actions, composed of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and fiat currencies. This follows Genesis’s bankruptcy declaration after the FTX collapse, impacting creditors like Gemini.
The completion of Genesis’s restructuring and distributions marks a significant step forward, restoring confidence and stability in the crypto market. This development is crucial for maintaining trust and paving the way for future growth and innovation in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
